The
annual Cowboy Classic will take on a new format this season.
With the Dodge National Circuit Finals Rodeo being in late
April, we'll miss the Professional Cowboys and Cowgirls.
The event has moved to a Saturday giving locals a chance to take
a ride on the wild side..."Barrel Racing" Pebble Creek
style!! In the exciting Barrel Race Event, take a wild
ride down the mountain astride a barrel, tethered by two
skiers or boarders.
Expect
lots of spills and action as cowboys and cowgirls from High
School Rodeo Teams take a wild ride down the mountain astride a
barrel tethered by two downhill skiers or boarders. Race time is
1:00pm.
Local teams beyond
high school age are encouraged to compete in the “Older”
Division.
The course is just
above the lodge making for a great spectator event.
There is no charge for spectators.
Awards for the
High School Teams are provided by Coca Cola, with “Older”
Team awards provided by Intermountain Beverage and Texas
Roadhouse.
The event is
limited to 30 High School Teams and 30 Local “Older” teams.
Contestants are
encouraged to register in advance. The event registration fee is
$15 per team. Register in the office at Pebble Creek.
Registration closes at 12:00 noon on race day. |
