ANNUAL SNOWBOARD RALLY and FREESTYLE FIESTA

The Twenthith Annual Snowboard Rally is changing focus, becoming a Freestyle Fiesta. In the past, skiers have been  welcome to join the event. What is new this season is specific events for boarders and skiers. And by popular demand, the BOARDER CROSS RETURNS and is joined by a Skier Cross.

The events are Saturday, March 17th at Pebble Creek Ski Area. Terrain Park Maven, Clay Smith has designed the Cross Course along with the Jumps and Features for the Slope Style and Big Air Competitions. 

 

Highest Ollie Contest at 10:00am

In this elimination event, boarders will jump over a high jump type pole that will be raised to provide continued challenge. This event will be held below the Skyline Lift. .

 

Board Slope Style Competition at 11:30.

 This exciting event will be held in the Terrain Park and is visible from the Lodge.  Judging is based on amplitude, standard maneuvers, rotations and landings.

 

Skier Cross at 11:30

An elimination event. Four skiers start together in a group, with the fastest two from each heat advancing to the next round.

 

Boarder Cross at 1:30

An elimination event. Four boarders start together in a group, with the fastest two from each heat advancing to the next round.

 

Ski Slope Style Competition at 1:30.

 This exciting event will be held in the Terrain Park and is visible from the Lodge.  Judging is based on amplitude, standard maneuvers, rotations and landings.

 

Big Air  Competition at 3:30.

A featured event is the Big Air Competition at 3:30.   Participants will have a chance to show their skills on a big air feature. Located just above the lodge, this is a great spectator event.

 

For all events, participants are divided into age groups with male and female divisions. Inverted air, feet above the head, is not permitted. Inverted air will result in loss of pass privileges for the rest of the season.

 

The Awards Ceremony will begin shortly after the lifts close on Saturday. Competition winners will each receive a coveted "Piece of the Rock". Participants are entered to win great draw prizes.  Draw prize winners must be present to receive their prizes.

 

The Registration fee for the Twentith Annual Snowboard Rally is $20.00. The entrance fee includes a T-shirt for the first 60 participants, allows the rider to compete in the events, and be eligible for draw prizes at the Awards Ceremony. Registration is in the office. All riders must have a valid lift ticket or season pass to access the course and features.

 

Event Sponsors include: Scott's Ski and Sports,  Barrie 's Sports, Surf's Up,  and more.  Draw prize winners must be present to receive their prizes.
